Professional Mentors

Below is a list of AAMFT Approved Supervisors or LMFTs with at least five years of clinical experience who have indicated a willingness to enter into a Mentoring relationship with individuals who have graduated from a regionally accredited program in MFT or equivalent and who have obtained an AMFT from the State of Illinois.

IAMFT does not show preference for any of the Professional Mentors listed here and will make no recommendations.  IAMFT will not define the mentoring relationship, which is to be established by the Professional Mentor and the Post-graduate Individual.  IAMFT will not administer the mentoring relationship beyond providing contact information.

  • AAMFT Bylaws Vote

AAMFT recently announced that their ByLaws vote passed, meaning that there will no longer be a two-tier membership in both the national and state organization.  The IAMFT Board of Directors is looking at the options available to assess what is the best one for Illinois moving forward.  Please look for future updates here and on our Facebook Fanpage.
